Class Description

Our painting and drawing classes foster a liberal and creative environment, allowing students to select their models based on their skill levels, with guidance from the instructor. More beginner students may start with foundational drawing skills before moving on to oil color or acrylic painting. Throughout the classes, students receive personalized support as they work on their chosen subjects. As they transition into painting, participants gain hands-on experience with acrylics and oils, learning essential techniques in color theory, mixing, brush control, and layering methods. For students interested in exploring additional media, both watercolor and pastel painting are available upon request, providing opportunities to experiment with vibrant blending, layering, and unique texture techniques. This class supports creativity, technical skill, and a lifelong appreciation for art.

About the Instructor

Saeideh Rashidy, known as Jey, is a painter and art instructor with over 30 years of experience, specializing in oil, acrylic, pastel, and watercolor. She founded Kagoosh Art Studio in 2006 and has taught over 750 students. Now based in Canada, Jey continues to inspire artists as a member of North Van Arts.
